STATUS OF PROJECTS AT THE CLIMATE CHANGE DIRECTORATE
The Climate Change Directorate (CCD) of the Forestry Commission doubles as the National REDD+ Secretariat (NRS). The mandate of the Directorate is to assist the Forestry Commission to achieve its overall mission and vision by designing climate change mitigation/adaptation plans and strategies for the Forestry Sector of Ghana, while promoting sustainable development
The climate Change Directorate of the Forestry Commission is currently coordinating projects in line with Ghana’s REDD+ Strategy:
- The Ghana Cocoa Forest REDD+ Program
- The Ghana Shea Landscape Emission Reductions Project
- The Forest and Farm Facility (FFF) Phase II Project
